Yesterday was a great day 2 of our officer retreat!

We started the morning by fueling up before heading to Manhattan for the challenge course. The course pushed our officers outside their comfort zones through a variety of personal development and team building activities. It was definitely a hot day, but our team embraced every challenge and grew stronger because of it.

Next we toured Fink Beef Genetics, where we learned about the history of their operation and what makes it so unique. Afterward, we got back to work as Allison Wickstrum led us through a workshop on finding our “why” and how it shapes the impact we have on our chapter. She also guided us through additional National chapter discussions and work.

Finally we wrapped up the day with dinner made by the officers, followed by friendly pool table competitions, a bonfire, and a movie!

Day 1 of the 2026–2027 Officer Retreat is in the books! 💙💛

We started the day with lunch at Braum's before heading to Minneapolis to begin planning for an exciting year ahead. A huge thank you to Kara Quilter for leading a great workshop on the Program of Activities (POA) and the National Chapter Application. The officers also spent time working through leadership and team-building activities as they continue growing together as a team.

We wrapped up the day with some fun teamwork challenges led by our awesome art teacher, Gretchen Elliott. It was a long productive day. Bring on day 2!

Yesterday was our last day at State Convention, and it was an incredible experience. This year was especially meaningful because we attended as a fully registered chapter and were able to take part in everything the convention had to offer.

We started the morning at Session 5, where retiring State Sentinel Allyson Rietcheck delivered an inspiring address about embracing every moment and stepping outside of your comfort zone. We also had the opportunity to visit Manhattan Hill, enjoying the view and some fresh air before heading back for the final events.

The day concluded with Session 7, where Lilly Hulse shared a message about the importance of serving others. We also enjoyed the State Choir and Band Concert, watched the presentation of the State Stars, and saw the 2026–2027 State Officer Team elected.

While everyone is definitely worn out, we are grateful for the memories made, lessons learned, and connections built throughout the week. We’re leaving inspired, motivated, and excited for the opportunities that await us next year! 💙💛🎉

Day 2: FFA State Convention✅

Yesterday, we attended the 2nd and 3rd sessions of the 98th State Convention. Between sessions, we toured the Kansas Artificial Breeding Service Unit (K.A.B.S.U.) and got to watch a live collection from a customer’s bull. Students learned a lot about the collection, freezing, and storage process.

We ended the day with some fun at Ignite the Night, where we competed in a dodgeball tournament, went rock climbing, and danced the night away!

~ Completed community service by packaging over 200 care packages
~ Attended Opening Ceremony and received our charter
