Founded in 1965 by former US Army Self Defense instructor Genaro Benedetto, his legacy continues under his disciple Michael Ferrari who opened a new dojo in 2008. The Ketsugo Fighting Arts Center is a Self Defense club that trains in the following martial arts: karate (blocks, punches, strikes, kicks), judo, jiu-jitsu throws, falls, rolls, takedowns, sweeps), and aikido (pressure on the joints). C

ombining Shorin Ryu style Karate with Japanese style Judo & JiuJitsu The Ketsugo Fighting Arts Center offers a well rounded regimen of traditional martial arts training with modern and realistic Self Defense application. We also offer cross training events in other styles and specialty work shops (ground fighting, weapons, judo, jujutsu, bjj, etc.).

I just want to congratulate my friend and long time student John Bishop on passing his 3rd Degree Black Belt test🥋

John saw a self defense demonstration I did at our old job, and said he always wanted to try martial arts.

So when I relaunched Ketsugo Fighting Arts Center in 2008 he tried a class in his mid 50’s. At the age of 71 he has now achieved the rank of 3rd degree Black Belt.

Never let age discourage you from your dreams.
