Our network of local, state and national offices helps families deal with the increasing complexity of agriculture, animal care practices, tax concerns and many other issues. We provide education and support to the next generation of farmers and ranchers who will keep family-owned farming and ranching operations alive and thriving in Nebraska. While much of our work is behind the scenes, our brand is often most visible as Farm Bureau insurance, one of the most respected insurance programs in Nebraska. This affiliated organization, Farm Bureau Financial Services, offers highly competitive rates to Farm Bureau members while simplifying the insurance process. FSA is strengthening the farm safety net thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts Act that adds up to 30 million new base acres nationwide. Starting June 1, landowners can update and increase base acres in preparation for enrollment in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs for the 2026 and future crop years.

Lance Atwater, a member of the Adams/Webster County Farm Bureau, was honored with the 2025 Young Farmers & Ranchers Achievement Award during the organization’s annual meeting. After earning a degree in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Atwater returned home and spent a year working in precision agriculture at his local cooperative. In 2014, he joined his family’s farming operation full time. See Lance’s story in this video.
