I had the privilege of being asked to choreograph their first dance as husband and wife. No dance experience, 3 dance lessons, and an amazing memory…

We are so impressed with Elina and her husband Matthew. We came to them 10 days before our wedding for help with our wedding dance.

We had no prior experience, but Elina showed us a basic Step that we could build off of and gave us a routine for our wedding song. We took 3 one hour sessions before our wedding and we practiced at home in our spare time.

We nailed our dance at the reception and had so much fun in the process.

We would recommend Elina to any of our friends. She is super easy to work with, she is funny and lighthearted and she knows her dance moves.

As an educator, I think pretty much everyone on the planet questions my methods. Today was yet another example of why my way works! Meet Anna (my daughter). Anna hates math. This girl STRUGGLED to keep all her math problems aligned and to see how one step led to another step. At a pivotal moment, I took matters into my own hands and made her write all her problems on graph paper, one number in each square. Although she hated my guts for making her use graph paper in doing her problems all through elementary, middle, and one year of high school…she now has an organized, LEGIBLE, and clear process to her math problems. She’s taking calculus in COLLEGE. This girl hates math with a passion…but today, she made a comment that it’s not that bad.
Now that she can see how it’s all organized and herself organizes the problems, it’s not as hard. Chaos breeds chaos. Show kids rudimentary organization … day 1. First grade, notebooks, graph paper, linear problems that show a process…none of this loose-leaf nonsense and common core math that makes no sense and uses abstract thinking that many kids at that age can’t even process. Bring old school teaching back … it works! It worked with my kid and works 100% with the kids I tutor.
