This week, we will begin physical fitness testing for all 2nd–5th grade students. Please ensure your child wears tennis shoes and appropriate attire for the activities. Only students with a doctor’s note will be excused from the test.

Tomorrow, new skating groups will begin. Below, you’ll find which teachers I’ll be skating. If you haven’t yet sent in your child’s permission slip or payment, they may bring it tomorrow. Please remember that no child is allowed to skate without a signed permission slip, and make sure your child wears or brings socks. If you have any questions, please let me know—I’m looking forward to teaching and watching your child skate! 🛼🛼

Skating Classes This Week: 🛼🛼

Please note that skating will take place over five days, although the schedule is split up due to other gym activities. If you haven’t sent the form and payment with your child yet, they will not be able to participate in skating. They will do an alternate activity with the rest of the classes. I do have extra forms available if needed.

As these are shared skates, please make sure your child wears socks to school on skating days.

Good evening! This is a friendly reminder that skate money and forms are due on Tuesday, 10/15. Parents, please remember that if you send money without the form, your child won’t be allowed to skate until the form is submitted. If your child needs an extra form, they can get one from any PE coach.

Please note:
• No outside skates are allowed.
• Skating is optional. If your child prefers not to skate, they will participate in an alternative activity with other non-skating classes that week.

I’ll be skating two classes from each participating grade each week, and then switching to two new classes the following week. If you have any questions, please let me know. I’m looking forward to teaching your child to skate and having an amazing time together!

Just a few reminders about tomorrow’s event:

•If you know you’ll be checking your child out after they run, please remind them to bring all their belongings to the run.
•Parents may not enter the student section. You can only sign out your child with their teacher in the field once the teacher brings the students there.

Color run shirts were distributed to teachers this afternoon. Some teachers may have had the opportunity to pass them out prior to dismissal, while some may not have been able to. However, if your child didn’t bring it home today, they will bring it home tomorrow. Thanks for understanding!

Roller skating is returning to LES this month. Parents, permission slips will be going home tomorrow. The company charges $12 a kid. They will drop the skates off to me and your child will be able to skate or learn how to skate in PE for a full week. Please send the form and money in a bag/envelope back with your child.
