Osiri, Buchanan to receive Fulfilling the Dream awards 01/17/2018

Tonight at 6:30 in the Nebraska Union Auditorium, J. Kalu Osiri, director of international business and associate professor of practice in management at Nebraska, and Eric Buchanan, director of strategic partnerships for the Buffett Early Childhood Fund, will be presented the Chancellor's Fulfilling the Dream awards during the MLK Week keynote address.

Osiri, Buchanan to receive Fulfilling the Dream awards Nebraska's J. Kalu Osiri and Eric Buchanan have been selected as 2018 Chancellor's Fulfilling the Dream Award recipients for their exemplary action in promoting the goals and vision of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Our Late Night Dish It Up! event that was scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled. Please join us on Tuesday, January 24th at 6:30 in the OASIS lounge for "The Definition of a Dream." We'll be talking about Dr. King’s vision of the “dream” and how you are experiencing the world around you.

Tonight at 7:30 pm in the Nebraska Union, Catherine Wilson, associate professor of Law will moderate a panel that includes Sriyani Tidball, assistant professor of practice in advertising and public relations at UNL; Patrick Jones, associate professor of history and ethnic studies at UNL; UNL graduate student Carnetta Griffin and UNL undergraduate student Dani Young. They will discuss what Dr. King's dream means in today's world and how it affects the state, nation and world.

The award is given to those who have contributed to UNL or the greater community in promoting the goals and vision of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
