[I-35 / Kansas Street Project Update]
MoDOT Kansas City will be conducting various power switches from existing signals to temporary signals from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, Wed., April 24 through Tues., April 30. This work will cause intermittent slowing of traffic. The following intersections will be impacted


-- Route 152/Kansas Street and Conistor – Wednesday, April 24
-- Route 152/Kansas Street and Blue Jay Dr. – Thursday, April 25
-- Route 152/Kansas Street and Forrest Ave. – Friday, April 26
-- Route 152/Kansas Street and Route 291 – Monday, April 29
-- Route 152/Kansas Street and Clayview Dr. – Tuesday, April 30

Due to possible outages, officers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be on-site directing traffic. All work is weather dependent.

[INTERSECTION CLOSURE] The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the intersection of Routes 152 and 291 in all directions for approximately 30 minutes (10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.) Tuesday, April 23 for utility work. Liberty Police will provide traffic control during this scheduled work. All work is weather dependent.

The is all part of a project to replace the Route 152 Bridge over I-35, make improvements to Kansas Street and Route 291, including adding wider lanes and additional turn lanes. The project will also address bicycle and pedestrian needs along the corridor, and a multiple-use path along the south side of Route 152 and Kansas Street.
