This morning we were inspired by our final Fierce Female Friday speaker, former city councilwoman Denise Gray, who shared her inspiring journey of serving her community as a lawyer, teacher, and city councilwoman.
She encouraged our girls with powerful words of wisdom:
“When you’re doing what’s in your heart and what’s right, it’s going to be hard and you’ll have some roadblocks — but you have to stay in your purpose.”
“Education is power and will open up so many doors for you.”
When asked about their biggest takeaways, our scholars shared:
✨ “The journey is going to be hard, but you’ve got to keep going.”
✨ “Girls can do anything.”
✨ “Never doubt yourself.”
Thank you, Ms. Gray, for pouring into our scholars and reminding them of the strength, purpose, and potential they carry within themselves! 💜🔥 Fayette County Public Schools
