Allegro Dance Project offers Inclusive Dance outreach and Adaptive Dance classes for children with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other specific needs with PT assistance and live interactive music accompaniment. Our Adaptive Dance classes offer small group in-person classes following Covid safety protocol OR the option to join class virtually from home via Zoom. We offer flexible payment plans & need-based tuition assistance so ALL can dance! Choose from Adaptive Ballet, Adaptive Dance & Adaptive Contemporary. Spring 2023 class schedule:

Adaptive Ballet
6:30-7:15 Wednesdays at Artworks

Adaptive Contemporary
5:45-6:30 Thursdays at Artworks

Adaptive Dance
9:30-10:15 Saturdays at Bluegrass Youth Ballet

Our Contemporary Dance company collaborates with aerial artists and musicians for exciting performance events each season.

This week our Inclusive Dance outreach visited: Sandersville Elementary Pre-K, Brenda Cowan Elementary Pre-K, Leestown Middle, Lemons Mill Elementary, Royal Springs Middle, Deep Springs Elementary + Pre-K, Northern Elementary Pre-K, Southern Elementary + Pre-K, Mill Creek Elementary, Glendover Elementary Pre-K, Southern Middle, Julius Marks Elementary, Arlington Elementary Pre-K, Garden Springs Elementary, The Learning Centre, Crawford Middle, Dixie Elementary, Easterseals Pre-K + Adult Day, Employment Solutions & Lafayette High School!

We welcomed Miss Ali (former intern) & Miss Emily (apprentice) to our outreach team, our weekly classes all started back up, we celebrated Charity Day at Tidal Wave and we performed at The Art of Healing! 🩵

🩵🫧💙 Join us ALL DAY Friday September 18th at Tidal Wave Auto Spa for Charity Day! 50% of car wash proceeds will support Allegro Dance Project’s 2026/2027 Inclusive Dance outreach & upcoming sensory-friendly field trip performances! Some of our dancers, students, Apprentices & staff will be on site from 12pm-6pm with donation buckets as well, (an impactful way to put all that loose change sitting in your cup holders to good use!) 🩵🫧💙

This week our Inclusive Dance outreach visited: Tates Creek Elementary Pre-K, Dunbar High School, Henry Clay High School, Dixie Elementary, Veterans Park Elementary, Scott County Middle, 2 groups at Scott County High, Breckinridge Elementary + Pre-K, Coventry Oak Elementary, James Lane Allen Elementary Pre-K, Baker Intermediate & Lafayette High School!

This month is jam-packed with community events & performances! In addition to our outreach + classes, here’s where to find us this month:

SEPTEMBER

12th: The Down Syndrome Association of Central KY Family Fun Day & Walk
đź“ŤMasterson Station Fairgrounds
We’ll be dancing + drumming!

18th: Tidal Wave Charity Day
8am-8pm (we’ll be there 12-6pm)
đź“ŤTidal Wave Auto Spa
Come get your car washed & visit our info table! 50% of the day’s car wash sales will be donated to support our outreach programming!

19th: The Art of Healing
11am-2pm (we perform 12:30-12:45)
đź“ŤPhoenix Park (by the downtown public library)
Our Apprentices will be performing alongside a few of our company dancers & Adaptive Dance students + we’ll do a little bucket drumming at this FREE event!

27th: Partners for Youth Spotlight on Youth
2pm -3:30pm
đź“ŤLyric Theatre
Some of our Apprentices & Adaptive Dance students will be performing at this FREE event highlighting our community’s talented youth!
