Many women are concerned they will become a burden to their children or family because life has gotten in the way and they aren't where they think they should be at this time in their lives. Guess what? It is never too late to start over or to just get started. Sometimes these life changes are just what we need to be that jump start we needed to get that needle to move!

When I talk to people about emergency funds, I talk to them about more than money in the bank. I talk to them about the breathing room it gives them. That is the real value in the emergency fund!

The thing I keep hearing from women after divorce is that they are exhausted dealing with their finances. What I find is this comes from: being the sole provider, not having enough to go around, and just being overwhelmed from the changes. So know that you are not alone!

Sometimes we avoid our finances because we’re afraid of what we’ll see.
I remember that feeling VERY well. Avoidance can get you into REAL trouble but when that heaviness is weighing you down... it is very hard to take that first step.

You are not bad with money because life knocked you sideways.
Divorce. Job loss. Single income.
That changes everything.
It might come as a surprise from a Master Financial Coach but the goal is not usually wealth.
I think a lot of women secretly believe they’re failing because they aren’t “ahead” financially.
But most of the women I talk to don’t want extravagant lives.
They just want to breathe again.
No one teaches you how to handle money after divorce.
They just hand you the bills and expect you to figure it out.
