Morton Families,
Lockdown drills take place twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring, to help prepare our students and staff for what to do during an emergency that would require us to place the building on lockdown. Lockdown drills can be uncomfortable or scary for some students. I want to remind students that lockdown drills are used to prepare and keep them safe during an emergency situation.
Today our students participated in a lockdown DRILL. The DRILL lasted approximately 10 minutes. Everyone did an amazing job! Our staff always does an outstanding job of preparing the students with the appropriate procedures but also calming any nerves the students may have throughout. We are so proud of our students and staff!
Thank you,
Twanjua Jones
Principal
