“Oral health is essential to overall health, yet many Kentuckians still do not have consistent access to dental care. We see Food Force One as an extension of the work we do year-around to expand education and help people better understand how to care for their oral health,” said Jeffrey P. Okeson, dean of the UK College of Dentistry.

Through partnership, UK, Compass Group to launch mobile food initiative to serve Kentucky communities The initiative — “Food Force One” — will launch two mobile food trucks designed to bring access to fresh, nutritious meals, education and outreach directly to Kentucky communities.

These dedicated students have already completed two endodontic practicals and are officially over halfway through the bootcamp. From access openings to canal instrumentation, they’re building the skills and confidence needed for clinical success.

A few members of our UK College of Dentistry team recently traveled from Lexington to Benton to spend time with the outstanding staff and providers at our West Regional Clinic.

The Benton team plays a vital role in our mission every day—providing exceptional care, serving their community and representing UK Dentistry across western Kentucky.

We are grateful for the opportunity to visit, connect, and personally thank this dedicated team for all they do.
