🎡 Help us give a student a day to remember at the South Carolina State Fair! 🎠

SEA Place will be taking 15 students to the SC State Fair on October 16th, and we’re looking for sponsors to help make it possible.

For just $50, you can sponsor one student and cover:

🎟️ Entrance fee
🍔 A meal
🎢 An unlimited ride voucher

A trip to the fair may seem like a simple day of fun, but for some of our students, experiences like this don’t come along very often. Your sponsorship gives them the opportunity to enjoy the rides, eat some fair food, laugh with friends, and simply be a kid for the day. 💙💚

We have 15 students who need sponsors. You can sponsor one student—or more!

What a wonderful morning we had Saturday at SEA Place! 💙

Our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast was a success, and we are so grateful to everyone who joined us as we celebrated the incredible people who give their time, talents, and hearts to our mission.

A huge thank you to our guest speakers for sharing their unique perspectives on the many ways people help make the work of SEA Place possible:

💙 Marquetta Wurster spoke about the importance and impact of volunteering.

🤝 Jeff Jones shared about the power of partnership and what we can accomplish when we work together.

💚 Jimmy Carter spoke from the perspective of a donor and the difference giving can make.

💙 Marissa Ruggiero shared her personal story and how SEA Place has impacted her life.

Each of them reminded us that making a difference takes many forms—through volunteering, partnering, giving, and sharing the stories that show why this work matters.

To all of our volunteers: thank you for helping SEA Place break the generational cycle of poverty. Your time, your heart, and your service make a difference.

🩺 Exploring Careers in Healthcare! 🚌

Yesterday, our students had a wonderful opportunity to tour the PRISMA Mobile Clinic and learn more about careers in the medical field.

A huge thank you to Tiffany Porterfield, a nurse with 25 years of experience, and Prisma Health for taking the time to visit with our students, show them around the mobile medical clinic, and give them a firsthand look at the many possibilities a career in healthcare can offer.

Experiences like this give our students the chance to learn, ask questions, and discover career paths they may want to pursue in the future. We are so grateful to the people in our community who take the time to invest in them! 💙

🎉 And we also had a special reason to celebrate — Happy 15th Birthday to Anthony! We hope you had a fantastic birthday! 🥳🎂
