Tomorrow is School Lunch Hero Day! 🦸♂️
A student asked recently—how did you come upon the date for School Lunch Hero Day? Well, the day is inspired by how much the Lunch Lady graphic novels meant to my childhood lunch lady, and I noticed Jeanne’s birthdate on her Mass Card. On that first year that we celebrated, it fell on a Friday. And that seemed fitting to go with the first Friday in May for the annual celebration. Please check to see if your kids’ schools are acknowledging the lunch staff. And please do send your kids to school with some creative thank-you cards! 💛
Happy Appreciation Week!

We delivered approximately 340 sandwiches to Catholic Action Center. Thank you for helping us make this happen!
The Catholic Action Center is in need of sandwiches to pass out to walk-in guests and those in the area who are unsheltered. Who better to make some sandwiches than school nutrition employees?! Help us raise money to purchase meats, cheese, bread and sandwich baggies.
Who’s up for sandwiches?!
We would love to help our neighbors at the Catholic Action Center. We need donations of bread, meat, cheese, and time.
Would you be willing to either donate sandwich products? and/or come to Deep Springs at 5:30 on January 18 and put sandwiches together.
Our goal is 500.
Thank you to our support staff at Park Place! We’re leaving a barrel in the lobby until December 1st for more donations! Fayette County Public Schools.
