Check out this great opportunity to make some art!
This project started for me when I kept driving by a traffic control box covered in graffiti on Canal St. on my way to work. After reading The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, years ago, I know the power that Public Art can have in creating sense of place, economic growth, beautification and even reducing crime. Myself, and 2 other artists at Wicked, Jessica Emmert and Corrina Tancrede, painted boxes on Canal, Lisbon and Main streets. You may have seen the flowers, octopus and turtle! At Wicked Illustrations we are proud to work with the Official City of Lewiston, Maine to expand this project and give opportunities for other artists to participate.
