This panel features 3 recent Bucknell economics graduates working in 3 different industries. The alumni will discuss a variety of topics, including: What experiences they benefited the most from as students; what they wish they had done differently as a student; strategies for finding good internships and jobs; different career paths that students might not be aware of; industry trends; and more.
The panelists:
Alex Greene '17 is a senior analyst at NielsenIQ in Chicago. Alex is from Westport, CT and graduated from Bucknell in 2017 with an Economics and Political Science double major and an Environmental Studies minor. She is a Senior Analyst at NielsenIQ where she consults with CPG firms across food, beverage, and personal care on their pricing and promotion strategy. https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexandra-greene-306129a9/
Kavi Mathur '17 is a data scientist for a hedge fund (Coatue) in New York. Kavi is from Cranbury, NJ and graduated from Bucknell in 2017. He’s currently a data scientist at Coatue Management, a hedge fund in New York City which focuses on the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors. Before joining Coatue, he worked as a business intelligence consultant in the DC area.
Allie Blair '15 is pursuing her MBA at Kellogg (Northwestern Univ.) after working in market research and digital marketing. Allie is originally from Boston, MA and graduated from Bucknell in 2015. She majored in Economics and Environmental Studies and got a minor in Dance. After Bucknell, Allie moved to New York City, and started off her career at a boutique market research firm working with clients in CPG, financial services, and pharma. After 3 years, she moved to McCann, a global advertising agency, where she was on a consulting team doing digital marketing strategy work for clients in the pharma space. In 2020, she started her MBA at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She’ll be interning in consulting this summer at Bain and Company, and will graduate from business school in Spring 2022!
