I had another starter repair project. This time the brush spring broke. I keep parts on hand if anyone ever has a problem.

I had someone send me a starter off a 582 E-box which was not working. The engine had about 200 hours on it at the time. Starters are one of those things get overlooked for preventative maintenance. I keep rebuild kits on hand if anyone needs a starter worked on.

I had the honor to help overhaul my friend Don Pritchard’s engine. He acquired a powered parachute that sat for many years and needed some TLC. The engine would not turn over. It’s entertaining to see what kind of stuff I run into. This engine had mouse turds in the one cylinder.

Here’s a recent overhaul project due to a piston seizure (oil starvation). Remember to keep your oil topped off.
