Hi friends 😊 I'm sorry I've been on a bit of a lull. The beekeeping has taken a bit of a back seat this last week. I tore the retina and lost vision in my right eye. I wasn't doing anything crazy.. I was walking up the steps because I had a migraine and I thought that the weird twinkly light aura on the side of my vision was from the migraine. Turns out that's the first thing that happens when your retina starts to detach. 👀
Luckily I contacted my eye doctor straight away they got me into a specialist for a laser procedure to cauterize the bleeding and hopefully save my vision. So far my right eye vision is still kind of like looking through a curtain or a lace doily. But he's assured me that it will take a few weeks for the healing process and I should be able to regain vision. I'm hoping to be back to some sort of normal this next week as I am really tired of the dark room. 😒 I get bored and agitated when I'm forced to sit in one attitude for too long.
I'm missing my friends and my bees. I hope y'all are doing well.

PSA: If you see glittery lights on the periphery then a veil come over your vision, call your Dr immediately, it could save your sight. 😘
