Hot flashes. Brain fog. Sleepless nights. Menopause symptoms are real, and for some, they’re debilitating.

Now, Rhode Island is stepping up. A new amendment to the state’s Fair Employment Practices Act will require employers to offer reasonable accommodations for menopause and related conditions, making them the first state to enact these workplace protections. Menopause starts anywhere from age 45-55 and lasts an average of seven years. That means, around 20% of the workforce is experiencing menopause symptoms at any given time.

As Representative Karen Alzate said: “Women should not have to risk being penalized or discriminated against at their job due to a naturally occurring phenomenon they have no control over.”

This is a big step toward destigmatizing menopause in the workplace and making space for more supportive, inclusive policies everywhere.

The Mapparium is located in the heart of Back Bay in Boston MA. This gorgeous, stained glass globe stands three stories high!! In fact, it is SO large you can walk right inside of it!! Once inside, you you are able to envision this whole wide world, your world, with an extraordinary & infinitely new perspective.

The exhibit, entitled, How Do You See the World? is intended to spolight positive change and the inspired actions of everyday people in countries and cultures globally—and encourages you to think about the impact you have on this world.

This photo reminds me of one of my all time favorite quotes from a #1 bestselling book by Marianne Williamson. The book “A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles” was quoted directly from its resplendent text.
