🦁💛 PreK Pals at Lenexa Hills! 💛🦁

Do you have a future LH Lion joining us for Kindergarten in the 2027–2028 school year? 🏫✨ We can’t wait to meet them!

PreK Pals is a fun way for our incoming kindergarteners to get to know Lenexa Hills, meet new friends, and explore some of our favorite school specials! 🎨📚🎶🏃‍♀️ Each session will include a fun activity and a visit to a special area of our school.

⏰ Time: 9:00–10:00 AM
🦁 Incoming kindergarteners enrolled in the PreK AM session with Mrs. Farmer will participate in PreK Pals!
🦁 Incoming kindergarteners that do not currently attend Lenexa Hills OR are enrolled in the PreK PM session are welcome, too! Families will need to bring their child and stay with them during the session.

👋🏻 Hello, Lenexa Hills!

The first quarter of the school year is complete! I can't believe it, where has the time gone?!?!

We had a busy week here at Lenexa Hills to wrap up this amazing first quarter of learning and growing together. Thank you for all the birthday wishes on Tuesday! The whole community really showed up ☺️ Every.single.person (students, teachers, staff, and parents/families) I encountered wished me a Happy Birthday.

🥁🎻 Our 5th Grade Bands and Strings students showcased what they have learned so far in a beautiful concert for their families on Wednesday night. They did a fantastic job and already know so much and sound so great -- thank you to Mr. Morgan and Ms. Lange for their hard work and dedication to our Band and Strings Programs here at Lenexa Hills.

On Thursday, we had not one, but TWO celebrations! 🎉 🎉

The first celebration was our Quarterly Golden Lion Assembly. Teachers and staff nominated students who have gone above and beyond to exhibit being respectful here at Lenexa Hills within our school community. This is the first trait of our ROAR values we live by each day here at Lenexa Hills. At Lenexa Hills, we ROAR by being:

The second celebration was our ROAR-a-thon fundraiser celebration -- woot, woot! 🥳 Our Lions celebrated the incredible support of you all, and our community, for this year's ROAR-a-thon with a bubble dance party. 🫧🪩🦁 The weather was gorgeous, the sun was shining, and there was no better way for our students to end first quarter! Students had so much fun celebrating with one another. THANK YOU to everyone who donated and shared our fundraiser to help make this year a success. Also, a HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing PTA for their hard work on this annual fundraiser.

A couple of quick reminders for this week:

📋Report cards will be posted to Skyward on Thursday, October 15th.

👥 Fall Conferences are this Thursday, October 15th and Friday, October 16th.

📌 Conference sign-ups have been sent out from your child(ren)'s teacher(s) if you still need to sign-up.

Conference week provides a wonderful opportunity for our teachers and our students' families to connect and celebrate student progress. Our partnership with each Lenexa Hills family is rooted in a commitment to sharing all of the incredible things your child is excelling at, as well as discussing areas where they still might need support. Please know that every goal we set and every support we put in place comes from a shared vision: helping your child feel confident, supported, and successful here at Lenexa Hills so they can learn at high levels. We look forward to sitting down with you and continuing to work together for your child's success!

🫧🦁 WE ROARED, WE DANCED, AND WE CELEBRATED! 🎉💙

What better way to celebrate an AMAZING Roar-A-Thon than with a bubble dance party?! 🪩🫧 Yesterday our lions danced, laughed, popped bubbles, and had the BEST time celebrating all the ROAR-some support from our incredible school community! 🐾💛

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated, shared, and helped make this year’s Roar-A-Thon such a success! 💙🐾

What an incredible 7 days! Together, you helped raise $20,591 from 224 amazing supporters and our students completed 100+ ROAR Acts!

We are beyond grateful for every donation, every share, and every person who helped make the 2026 Lenexa Hills Roar-A-Thon a roaring success! 💙💛

A HUGE thank you to our families, friends, grandparents, neighbors, and community for showing up for our students. We can’t wait to celebrate with the students on October 8th! 🎉
