It is housed in a special, 7,000 square foot, “play-clothes-only” indoor and outdoor space where a child can be a child. From an engineering room to a mud kitchen, busy minds are engaged, encouraged, and nurtured every single day. A side-step from commercial care, this purposely designed

schoolhouse combines the best of in-home and professional care. Come play and learn with us in this safe, nurturing, and engaging early childhood wonderland. Structured curriculum features both planned and naturally evolving activities, including: science, cooking, gardening, music and movement, art exploration, children’s literature, mathematics, zoo-phonics, writing activities, dramatic play, nutritional awareness, and nature appreciation. Academic readiness happens naturally through playful sensory exploration and structured engagement across all our classrooms. Tactile Mathematics: Littles explore core math concepts using Math Manipulatives that highlight concepts they need. Literacy & Phonetics: Littles have access to children's literature as well as D.E.A.R. time which allows time for littles to explore books at their level. Never interrupt a child in a state of wonder. Here is the science of awe. 🫧👇

When you look at this photo, you might just see a child playing with bubbles. But neurologically, something massive is happening. At Fabian House, this exact expression is what we consider the holy grail of Lifelong Learning.

Before a child can thrive in traditional academics, they must first possess a biological drive to understand the world. That drive is born in moments of pure, uninterrupted awe.

Here is what a simple bubble is actually teaching a toddler’s brain:

Early Kinetic Physics: They are observing gravity, velocity, and trajectory in real time as the bubble floats and falls.

Optical Science: The rainbow sheen on a bubble's surface introduces the eye to light refraction—the exact same concept we build upon later in our classrooms using translucent light blocks and STEM air tube systems.

Cause and Effect: The anticipation of the "pop" is a masterclass in hypothesis testing. If I touch it, what happens? If it lands on the grass, does it break?

Society often rushes children past the "wonder" stage to get them to the "academic" stage (like memorizing flashcards). But the truth is, you cannot have high-level academic success without foundational curiosity. If you kill the wonder, you kill the desire to learn.

Our curriculum is intentionally engineered to protect this curiosity. Whether it’s studying a bubble, watching a bug on our outdoor nature stumps, or testing gravity in our dramatic play centers, we give children the time and space to be utterly mesmerized.

When parents see our Littles working with raw ingredients and specialized tools, the initial reaction is often surprise. But at Fabian House, every single activity is anchored in deep developmental purpose.

Take a look at these photos of a child slicing a lemon. This isn't just snack prep—it is a masterclass in early childhood engineering:

Advanced Fine Motor Skills: Navigating a round, rolling object like a lemon forces a child to use bilateral coordination (stabilizing with one hand, manipulating a tool with the other) and calculate physical pressure.

Sensory & Cognitive Patience: Cutting real food requires intense focus. Children learn to slow down, respect the tool, and practice deep, mindful patience to achieve their goal.

Fostering True Independence: The moment a child helps prepare a mini-meal or snack, their mindset shifts from passive to capable. They realize they can impact their environment and care for themselves.

Safety is always our baseline. Our educators utilize specialized, child-safe plastic knife kits and nylon cutters. These tools are meticulously chosen because they are sharp enough to cut through dense fruit textures cleanly, but entirely safe for tiny fingers.

During our recent team inservice, our educators spent dedicated time brainstorming ways to intentionally expand our culinary experiences—focusing on safe procurement, hygienic silicone utensils, and age-appropriate recipes that target communication and coordination.

When you trust children with manageable, real-world tasks and provide the proper scaffolding, they will always rise to the expectation.

If your child is afraid to fail, they are afraid to learn. 🛑 Here’s how we cure childhood perfectionism before it takes root:

When a child hits a wall with a tricky puzzle or a cooking recipe and says "I can't," anxiety is trying to take over. At Fabian House, we don't swoop in to fix it. Instead, we teach our Littles that failure is just impartial data for growth using our Iterative Excellence Cycle:

👉 Design ➔ Test ➔ Analyze ➔ Refine

Instead of mourning a mistake, we ask: "What did this just tell us?"

But how do we stop a meltdown before the problem-solving starts? We use a joyful, musical circuit breaker. The moment a child says "I can't," our entire classroom family stops and sings:

🎵 "You can do it, you can do it if you set your mind to it! If you set your mind to it, you can do it—Do It, DO IT!" 🎵

This simple anthem instantly shifts their brain out of frustration and right back into a resilient, confident mindset.

Ever feel like your kid has Olympic-level selective memory? 🏅
They can name every single monster in Minecraft or sing every lyric to Bluey, but the second you ask them to put their jacket away... total blank slate.
Here’s the secret: Kids don’t learn from lectures or rigid routines. They learn through their world.
In ABA therapy, we have a fancy name for this: N.E.T. (Natural Environment Training).
But stripped of the clinical jargon, it just means meeting kids exactly where they are. Instead of forcing them to sit at a desk with flashcards, we use their favorite toys, routines, and spaces to teach major life skills.
Why is it so effective?
Zero Resistance: When you use what they already love (like dinosaurs or trucks), learning doesn’t feel like work. It feels like play.
Real-World Skills: Recognizing an apple on a flashcard is one thing. Asking for an apple when they are actually hungry in the kitchen is what matters. NET bridges that gap.
The big takeaway? Play isn’t a break from learning. Play IS the learning. ✨
