A few months ago, Catryn Becker came across one of my MindBlox posts, and reached out to me to see if I would be interested in joining her as a guest on her weekly podcast - The Good Bad & Ugly of Business. I am so grateful that I decided to take the leap! Not only was it one of the coolest opportunities I have had since deciding to start my own company, but Catryn has proven to be a tremendous resource, a good friend, and an amazing entrepreneurial Sherpa along the path of this journey! We are thrilled to announce that we are collaborating with Life Shop (www.lifeshop.co), and we have added four new MindBlox Summer Camps in August! Life Shop is a fantastic organization, focused on providing a place for teenagers to feel welcome, play, socialize, and learn new skills. Life Shop aims to facilitate the development of teens so that they can find joy in hard work and play, and become adults that contribute to society and enjoy life. It’s a natural fit with MindBlox’s core value “Balance” - work hard, play harder, and use both sides of your brain!

A huge advantage of this new collaboration is the opportunity to leverage Life Shop’s amazing facility in Lehi to offer some great new programs for the youth. The Summer Camps will be held during the first two weeks of August, and we will explore Newton’s Laws of Motion in all sorts of fun new ways. During the Fall, we will also hold After-school Programs and Build Days at the Life Shop facility. Keep your eyes on our calendar for upcoming event details and registration information.

When I first told my 10-year-old daughter the name and concept of my new business, she could barely contain her excitement. The next day, she started sending me her designs for our logo. SO cool!!
