It's Hooper Trophy Week in Western Louisiana. Hooper II would be ALL DRAGONS. 6-0-1. Leesville did not win a game on the field against DeRidder in the 1970s.

Here's the story of Hooper Trophy I---which ran from 1962 - 1972. It had a bit of a surprise ending.

Our Wampus Cats start their season next Friday, at home, against the Dragons. Hooper VIII is currently being contested.

Earlier today, some of us were trying to see if we could piece together a list of all LHS State Champion and Runner-up (2nd place) teams in school history.

To the best of my knowledge, this is the list of champions and runner-up TEAMS. We've had many All-State and some All-American performers, but this discussion is about the greatest teams (if you're considering state titles as a barometer. If there's any team we missed, please let us know!
