🎓 R7 Academy Virtual Middle School Summer School
🌟 Available to Any Missouri Student! 🌟 Free for Students 6th-8th grade for the 2026-2027 School Year

This summer, students across Missouri can learn, grow, and explore through engaging online middle school enrichment and math acceleration courses offered through R7 Academy! Enrollment is open until May 27th.

We have an amazing opportunity for our virtual students! Our enrichment courses are designed to keep students engaged through asynchronous learning and activities throughout the summer session. There will also be live opportunities for students to connect with their instructors during the courses. Math enrichment courses will meet synchronously throughout the program to provide live support and assistance for students.

Just a reminder as the weather gets warmer! 4th grade students have free National Parks passes until August 31st! 🌳

It will list lots of places to visit! But not all will accept your paper pass. If you aren't sure whether your paper pass will work, have an adult call before you go.

The first week of March is Reading Week! We will be celebrating the love of reading and all the benefits of enjoying books of all kinds with some spirit days! They include:
Monday, March 2 - Reading Helps You Relax and Recharge! Wear pajamas
Tuesday, March 3 - Reading Brings Us Together! Wear a class color - vote the day before!
Wednesday, March 4 - Reading Jogs Your Mind! Wear fun sweats and do an art or exercise activity.
Thursday, March 5 - Reading Takes You Places! Wear a KC shirt or a shirt from a trip.
Friday, March 6 - Reading Helps You Grow! Wear a shirt with a positive message

AMI day tomorrow for our students! Check your virtual schedules.

LSR7 will use its second AMI Day on Monday, January 26, 2026. Districts can use up to six virtual instruction days for inclement weather instead of adding days to the end of the school year.

Y-Club will be available for families from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Prairie View and Trailridge Elementaries.

Because this is the second virtual learning day, the last day of school is still May 22, 2026.
