Next up for staff shout out is Miss Melinda!! Melinda has been with Busy Bee for a total of 8 years! Melinda was hired back in our old building on Academy Street as a toddler teacher. She quickly became a Lead Teacher and eventually Director certified. Melinda wears many hats here. She is a mom of a spunky adorable preschooler, she is our Lead Infant Teacher and she steps in as Director when I am out.
Melinda is a baby whisperer, somehow keeping a calm and happy environment down in the infant room and always managing to do creative projects with the babies which is impressive with 7 infants in one room!
She always brings a smile, laugh and homemade remedies for everything you can think of. She has a special way of always thinking of others and showing people she cares about by doing little things for them that goes a long way.

Fat Bear Week continues in Pre K with everyone dressing up as bears, bringing in their stuffed bears, trying some “bear foods” such as salmon 🍣 blueberries 🫐 honey 🍯 and pears 🍐. They’ve also been discussing similarities and differences between humans and bears! The kids and teachers are really having a fun week and learning so much about bears 🐻

Our Miss. Jess... These photos do a great job of showing all the sides of Jess. She is always goofing around, making the kids and the staff laugh. You never know what she will be dressed up as, often a dinosaur because that is her favorite! Jess started with Busy Bee in October of 2018 coming up on her 8 years of working here! Jess started out in Pre-K, then moved to curriculum coordinator now to Behavior Specialist. Jess is working on her master's degree in social work after completing her Bachelor's of psychology in 2025~
Jess creates a safe environment, where kids are loved and can be themselves. She is such an asset to have at Busy Bee and in this position helping children regulate themselves, giving staff support, fixing anything that is broken and always stepping up where needed, and we all feel safe knowing we have an EMT on staff at all times!
