⭐ As we gear up for another teacher professional learning day this Friday, October 16, we wanted to share a little of what we were up to at our last professional learning day in September!

💪The LHS Instructional Leadership Team facilitated an excellent professional-learning afternoon focused on aligning assessment to proficiency scales and helped drive some new learning! Notice we were able to meet in the new space at the Robert W. Plaster Center for Student Success!

Our staff works hard every day to help provide the best for our students and our community, and we are proud of the work they do!

September attendance has been calculated...and FRESHMEN are leading the pack with 95.35% attendance during the month of September!

As a reminder, our attendance goal is 95% or higher, and we need your help. Please make sure students are at school every day they can be. If they are sick, please call the office or use the absence request feature in Infinite Campus to let us know.

We appreciate the collaboration with our families and students in reaching these goals. Our students win, every time!

Wagner Portrait Group will be at school to photograph any students who were absent on the original Picture Day. Retake photos will also be available upon request.
If your student is having a retake, please return the entire portrait package (including the insert sheet) to the photographer on retake day. Feel free to attach a note describing what you’d like done differently.

Lebanon High School celebrated today in a fun way! Since it was Hobbit Day and the first day of autumn, we decided to make our celebration extra fun! Our hospitality committee put together a great Hobbit Day feast, and our staff was so appreciative!

Honors STEMs Freshmen in Mr. Slye's class are working hard to complete a Metric Measurement Mania Choice Board! Each group selected one from a measure-it, create-it, and explain-it activity. Students measured the length, mass, or volume of random objects in the classroom. Then they could create posters, instructional videos, or mini-lessons all about how to use the metric system! They did an excellent job!

Biology 1 students in Mr. Slye's class are measuring pH levels of different substances to understand how to identify the concentration of hydrogen ions in acids and bases. They use this information to discover how changes in pH levels can affect the rate of enzymatic reactions.

Biology 1 students in Mr. Slye's class tested the surface tension of distilled water and a liquid of their choice. Surface tension is important to physiological and environmental processes. Students put drops of the liquids on a penny until it overflowed, calculated the average, analyzed the data, and then drew conclusions from their findings.
