Our first Friday Lunch will be extra special as we celebrate Grandparents Day on Friday, September 11th! 🥰 Each week, we’ll send out a Lunch RSVP for families to sign up and join their Husky for lunch. A quick reminder: If we have NEVER scanned your government-issued ID, please have it ready when you arrive so we can get you checked in. Missed the RSVP window? No worries! Calling all our talented 3rd–5th grade Huskies who have been signed up by a parent/guardian! Choir practice begins TOMORROW and will take place every Tuesday after school from 3:00–4:00 PM.

Leander ISD provides free and reduced-price meals for children approved for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
For those that qualify, it's time to apply to be eligible for the 2026-27 school year!

Pick up a paper copy from our front office and complete on site OR download a paper copy online and turn in to the front office here: https://www.leanderisd.org/childnutritionservices/

Familles who would like to participate in the Free/Reduced (SBP/NSLP) meal program must reapply each year.

If you are currently participating in the meal program and do not reapply, your student’s meal benefit will stop on September 24, 2026.

When you complete a school meal application, you’re unlocking more than free breakfast and lunch.

Eligible students may also receive:
🎓 Academic & Testing Benefits:
- AP Exam Fee Reductions, SAT and ACT fee waivers.
🎭 Fine Arts & Extracurricular Support:
- Private Lesson & Voice Instruction Grants: Up to $500 per student for approved fine arts lessons.
- Uniform and Program Fee Assistance: Financial help for participation costs in band, choir, theater, and other programs.
💻 Technology Access
- mLISD Program: Qualifying secondary students can receive a district-issued laptop or device at no cost.
🏅 Athletics & Camps
- Summer Camp & Strength/Conditioning Scholarships: Reduced or waived fees for student athletes.
🍎 Weekend Nutrition Support
- Backpack Program: Provides take-home food for weekends through campus counselor coordination.
SENIORS that qualify for assistance, check with the trade/college/universities that you're applying to. If applying to a school that has an application fee, they may provide you a discount or waive the fee altogether (varies by institution).
