Junior Mavs is a Youth Football League specific to the McNeil Mavericks High School Program
We have decided to hold off for the 2017 season for Jr. Mavs. We will work on promoting Junior Mavs for the 2018 season.

Jaxon Shipley - A graduate of Brownwood High School in 2011 where he was a two-time 1st team All-State Wide Receiver, and 2010 Army All-American. He went on to become a 4 year starter for the University of Texas. He is the Longhorns 3rd all time receptions leader, and 6th all time in receiving yards in school history. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals in May of 2015 and spent the entire 2015 season with the Cardinals.
Dominic Espinoza - A five-year offensive lineman, Dom Espinosa played and started in 40 career games at center. Espinosa earned a spot on the watch lists for the 2014 Rimington Trophy, Outland Trophy, Rotary Lombardi Award, and was named a 2014 preseason first-team All-Big 12 choice by USA Today. In 2013, Dom received honorable mention All-Big 12 honors (coaches) and was named to the 2013 Rimington Trophy watch list. He is a two-time Academic All-Big 12 member (2011, β14) and four-time member of the Big 12 Commissionerβs Honor Roll. Espinosa was named to the 2011 Yahoo! Sports Freshman All-America Second Team. He played in the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl and was ranked the highest rated center by Rivals.com and the third-best center by ESPNU as a prepster.
Johnathan Gray - A five-year running back at UT, Gray played in 46 career games with 23 starts and finished his career ranked 12th on the UT all-time rushing list (2,607 yards). Gray became the 18th player in school history to eclipse 2,000 career rushing yards in the 2014 West Virginia game (Nov. 8). Gray was named a candidate for the 2014 and 2015 Doak Walker Award and was also on the watch list for the 2015 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award and a member of the watch list for the 2014 Maxwell Award. He began the 2012 season as a reserve, but ended up starting five of the last six games en route to All- Big 12 honors and his 701 rushing yards in 2012 rank No. 9 on the UT freshman single- season list. A three-time member of the Big 12 Commissionerβs Honor Roll and a consensus first team All-American and highly-regarded player coming out of high school.
Case McCoy - A four-year quarterback at UT, McCoy appeared in 34 career games with 16 starts. He finished his career ranked 10th in school history in career passing yards (3,689) and 10th in passing touchdowns (24). McCoy owns the school record for most consecutive passes to start a career without an interception (124). Case led five career 4th quarter comebacks, including four on the road. Brother of former Longhorn National Player of the Year, NFL Quarterback C**t McCoy.
