LES students have had an excellent start to the school year! We had two ROAR drawings today to start the year off right. Our ROAR kickoff assembly was held this morning and winners were announced at the assembly. This afternoon, we had a *surprise* drawing to celebrate more winners.

School is back in session Wednesday, August 19th

PLEASE help our kids get to and from school safely!

Drivers
• Traffic will be heavier throughout the community between 7:30-8:30am and 2:45-3:45pm. Please watch for increased pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle traffic, especially around schools.

• Obey school bus flashing lights and stop signs.

• Watch speed limit changes in school zones.

• Stay off cell phones and pay attention to what is going on around you.

• Obey directions given by school crossing guards.

• Follow established pick up and drop off procedures at your child’s school.

Student Walker & Bikers
• Pay attention. Don’t assume traffic sees you. Stay off your cell phone. If you are listening to music or an audio book, keep the volume down so you can hear traffic and your surroundings.

• Walkers should use sidewalks whenever possible and otherwise stay to the far left side of the road walking facing traffic. Cross at intersections and crosswalks. Do not attempt to cross the road between parked cars.

• Bikers should stay to the right side of the road and ride with the flow of traffic. Obey all stop signs and be extra cautious at intersections.

The Pam Monahan Memorial Fund was established to honor the memory of a truly compassionate woman who dedicated her life to caring for others. Those who knew Pam remember her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping those in need.

Pam Monahan was a longtime resident of our community, a proud Panther fan, and someone whose big smile and warm hugs could brighten anyone’s day. Her love for children and her deep connection to this community were evident in everything she did. Pam’s son, Chad Monahan, is a proud graduate of Le Roy High School, Class of 1995.

Your donation in her memory helps carry forward that same spirit of care and compassion. The fund provides direct assistance to students in need—supporting vision and dental care, personal health and hygiene supplies, and other essential needs. It has also provided emergency relief for families during specific hardships, such as a house fire or other life-changing family event.

Pam’s legacy of love, generosity, and community pride lives on through this fund—and through the thoughtful contributions of people like you.
