Amazing Artists & Garden Club!

🎨Amazing Artists: Our artists were inspired by the incredible Yayoi Kusama and her famous use of dots! The children created their own colorful “Dot Explosion” artwork, exploring patterns, repetition, color, and creativity.

Garden Club: Our little gardeners got creative with upcycling! ♻️ They turned kitchen fruit cans into beautiful planters for flowers and repurposed soda bottles to create their very own hanging planters.

Celebrating Our Author of the Month: Eric Carle!

Today we celebrated the wonderful world of Eric Carle! Our classes enjoyed fun, hands-on reading activities inspired by some of his most beloved stories.

We talked about his colorful illustrations, explored his stories, and had lots of fun bringing his books to life through our activities!

And of course, we couldn’t end our Eric Carle celebration without a special treat! The children went home with their very own “Caterpillar Food” to enjoy! 🐛

Happy International Dot Day!

Today at Cadence Academy Old Peachtree, we celebrated International Dot Day, inspired by the beloved book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds! 📖

International Dot Day is all about creativity, courage, and believing in yourself. It reminds children that sometimes all it takes is one small dot to get started—and from there, there are endless possibilities!

Our children were encouraged to “make a mark and see where it takes you.” Whether it was a simple dot, a colorful masterpiece, or an idea of their very own, we celebrated every child’s creativity and individuality.

Because every great creation starts somewhere… so start with a dot! 🔴

KIND CHILD MOMENT OF THE DAY!

Today, we’re celebrating Lunabelle for showing such a sweet act of kindness! 🌟

To celebrate the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, Lunabelle brought conchas to her class. Conchas are a traditional mexican sweet bread, that get their name from their seashell like appearance!

What a thoughtful way to share, celebrate, and make her friends feel special! We love seeing our children bring kindness into the classroom and share meaningful traditions and celebrations with one another.

FULL CIRCLE MOMENT!

Back in April, our Private Pre-K students had the most exciting experience—we watched 14 little chicks hatch right here at school!

We cared for them, watched them grow, and followed their journey from tiny, fluffy chicks into beautiful chickens. ❤️

And TODAY… something pretty amazing happened…

🥚 Those same chickens laid their very first eggs! 🥚

This is exactly why we love hands-on learning at Cadence Academy Old Peachtree. Our children got to experience growth, responsibility, nature, and the magic of life happening right before their eyes.

Happy Grandparents Day!

What a beautiful morning we had celebrating some of the most special people in our children’s lives!

Our grandparents joined us at Cadence Academy Old Peachtree for a morning filled with planting flowers, enjoying refreshments, making memories, and most importantly, spending quality time with their grandchildren.

There’s something so special about watching generations come together, and we are so grateful to everyone who took the time to celebrate with us!

Our 5th Amazing Artists Class!

This week, our little artists were inspired by the incredible Alma Thomas, an African American artist known for her beautiful, colorful mosaic-like paintings!

Our artists created their own mosaic-inspired masterpieces using a very unique material—painted lasagna noodles! They broke their noodles into small pieces and arranged them together to create their own one-of-a-kind artwork inspired by Alma Thomas’s bold patterns and colorful style.

St. Jude fundraising has begun!

Starting September 1st, we started collecting donation for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and we would love for all our Cadence families to join us in making a difference. We already have a few donation started on the page!

You can use the link to set-up your child's fundraising page and share it with friends and family near and far. Every donation, big or small, helps support the incredible work St. Jude does for children and their families.
