💙📚 TWO BROTHERS, ONE SPECIAL RTP STORY! 📚💙

Meet Bennett and Hagan! 🥰

One of the greatest honors of my journey with Reading Through Play has been watching two generations come through our doors. There’s something so special about being part of a family’s reading journey and watching that love for learning grow from one generation to the next. ❤️

And this week, my heart was EXTRA full! 🥹 While on fall break from school, big brother Bennett joined his little brother Hagan for his reading lessons and even helped him along the way! Watching Bennett step in to encourage Hagan was such a proud moment for me.

These are the moments that remind me why I do what I do. It's not just about learning to read. It's about building confidence, creating connections, and helping children discover the joy of reading together. 📖✨

Watching these brothers grow, learn, and enjoy reading warms my heart more than they know. I'm so proud of BOTH of them and feel incredibly blessed that Reading Through Play gets to be a small part of their story. 💙

Because at RTP, we're not just growing readers… we're growing a love of reading that can last a lifetime! 🧡📚

Dolly has spent decades putting books into the hands of children through her Imagination Library — helping children discover the joy, comfort, curiosity, and possibilities that can begin with a simple book. 📖✨

Sometimes the number is only part of the story. 💛

A 95 → 98 is pretty amazing… but what really caught my attention is the reminder behind it:
✨ Growth matters.
✨ Effort matters.
✨ Encouragement matters.
✨ And sometimes, it takes a whole community cheering a young person on.

Our kids need people who notice their progress.
People who celebrate the little wins.
People who remind them that they are capable, even when something feels hard.

Sometimes that looks like a teacher staying a few extra minutes.
Sometimes it’s a parent saying, “I’m proud of you. Keep going.”
Sometimes it’s a coach, tutor, mentor, grandparent, or friend showing up and cheering from the sidelines. 📣
And sometimes… it’s an entire community celebrating a child’s success. ❤️

Those moments matter.
Because when our young people see the adults around them believing in them, celebrating them, and cheering them on, they begin to believe in themselves, too.

At Reading Through Play, I believe we’re not just building reading skills.
We’re helping children build the confidence to say:
“I worked hard. I grew. And I can do hard things.” 📚💪

It really does take a village.
So let’s keep showing up.
Keep cheering.
Keep celebrating the progress.
And keep reminding our kids that we see them. 💛
Because sometimes, that little bit of encouragement is exactly what a young person needs to keep going.

September 15 is International Dot Day — a worldwide celebration of creativity, courage, collaboration, and making your mark, inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ beloved book The Dot. 🎨📖

At Reading Through Play, we love the message behind The Dot:
👉 Sometimes, you just have to be brave enough to make a start.

That’s true for reading, too. ❤️

A child who says “I can't read” may just need the right support, the right approach, and someone who believes in them.

So today, we’re celebrating every little mark, every brave attempt, every new sound, every new word, and every “I DID IT!” 🌟
