y of resources including several high-end animated 3D videos, more than a dozen online games and apps, lesson plans, a FAQ section, glossary and much more. Initially funded through a National Science Foundation EPSCoR grant and supplemented by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, our library of resources continue to expand, including a new NSF Informal Science Education-funded animated video about how electrical conductors and superconductors work—Adventures at Nanoscale: Superconductivity (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-QSNEBF5-o). serves a broad audience with most resources targeting youth aged 7 to 12, but with a suite of resources for parents and teachers, as well as the general public. User experiences range from individuals playing games at home, to teachers using the videos as part of their lessons or as extra credit work, to college physics professors showing animations in their lectures. In addition to our diverse web resources, the project includes three hands-on education programs for schools that are available at the KU Natural History Museum (How Small is Small; Quarks: Ups, Down and the Universe, Cartoon Guide to Energy). project, Teresa MacDonald (Director of Education, KU Natural History Museum) is the outreach director, Richard Varney (Associate Professor, Department of Art and Design) created the illustrations for Quarked! and oversaw the production of 3D animated videos, and Bekkah Lampe (Museum Educator, KU Natural History Museum) created Science Shorts, a series of mini energy videos (www.quarked.org/scienceshorts) and contributes to range of educational materials for the website.

Neil and friends from Blue Valley High School hosted a Quarked workshop with students with students from Pleasant Ridge Middle school. One activity they had fun with was splattering paint balls colliding and making art that resembles particle tracks.
