What a wonderful day of learning and growth for the Cherished Hearts Board of Directors!

On Tuesday, we were honored to welcome Karla Tye, CEO of Children's Advocacy Centers of Mississippi, who led our board through an excellent training session. Her guidance, expertise, and encouragement provided valuable tools that will help us continue strengthening Cherished Hearts and our mission to serve the children of Jones County.

We are so thankful to Children's Advocacy Centers of Mississippi for their unwavering support and leadership of Child Advocacy Centers across our state. We are fortunate to have such a strong partner in this important work.

Thank you as well to our dedicated Board of Directors for giving your time and commitment to ensuring Cherished Hearts remains strong, effective, and ready to meet the needs of the children and families we serve.

💙 A Community That Chooses to Protect Children 💙

We are incredibly grateful to The Coffeehouse and Consider the Lillies Candle Co. for supporting Cherished Hearts during Child Abuse Prevention Month by donating a portion of their proceeds to help the children and families we serve.

To these businesses, thank you for using your platforms to make a meaningful difference in our community. Your generosity is a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together to support a cause greater than themselves.

And to everyone who purchased a drink from The Coffeehouse or a Volcanic candle from Consider the Lillies Candle Co., thank you. Every purchase represented more than a transaction. It was an investment in the safety, healing, and well-being of children right here in Jones County.

Every child deserves to be met with safety, compassion, and care.

Cherished Hearts Child Advocacy Center provides a child-friendly place for forensic interviews, advocacy, family support, and follow-up case management services for children and families walking through incredibly difficult situations.

We have created a giving campaign through Zeffy for those who would like to support this work through a one-time, monthly, quarterly, or yearly gift. Your support helps provide comfort items, snacks and meals, family essentials, forensic interviews, and follow-up support for children and families in our community.

Community support helps make this work possible. Every gift, no matter the amount, helps us continue showing up with care, comfort, and support when children and families need it most.

Last month, members of The Ellis Club delivered 50+ stuffed animals to Cherished Hearts Child Advocacy Center.
These cuddly companions may seem like a small gesture, but they can provide comfort, security and a familiar friend for children navigating difficult situations.
We are thankful for the important work Cherished Hearts does every day to support children and families in our community, and we're honored to help bring a little extra comfort when it's needed most. 🧸

We were honored to have the opportunity to speak at the Rotary Club of Ellisville and the Ellis Club meetings this week and share more about the mission of Cherished Hearts and the services we provide to children and families in our community.

One of the most encouraging parts of this work is seeing community leaders and organizations who genuinely care about the well-being of children and who want to be part of creating a safer, healthier future for families. The Rotary Club of Ellisville and the Ellis Club have both been strong supporters of our center, and we are grateful for their continued interest, encouragement, and partnership.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to tell our story, share our vision, and highlight the important work being done every day to support children on their path toward healing. We are thankful to be part of a community that values and invests in its children.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our local churches and the way they continue to invest in the children and families we serve.

A special thank you to First Baptist Myrick for donating coloring books, colored pencils, and sketch pads. These items provide comfort, creativity, and a sense of normalcy for children during difficult times.

We would also like to thank Magnolia Baptist Church and Life Church for generously donating the funds raised during their Vacation Bible School programs. Your kindness and generosity will have a direct impact on the children and families who walk through our doors.

Support like this reminds us that we are not doing this work alone. It takes a community that cares deeply about protecting children and supporting families, and we are blessed to have partners who share that mission. Because of the generosity of churches, businesses, organizations, and individuals throughout our community, Cherished Hearts can continue providing hope, healing, and advocacy to those who need it most.
