At Hetty’s Brilliant Minds, we believe education extends beyond the classroom. It means showing up for families, supporting our community, and creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported.

This Father’s Day season, we are proud to host a Father’s Day Pop-Up Pantry Community Giveback to honor dads and support families in our community with free pantry items.

Too often, people face challenges quietly. Sometimes support looks like encouragement, resources, or simply making sure a family has food on the table. Community impact begins when we choose to care for one another.

Brilliant Minds learning to work together, communicate, show kindness, and treat one another with respect while navigating everyday interactions.

At Hetty’s Brilliant Minds, we believe these lessons are just as important as academics. Learning how to share, solve problems, express feelings, work through disagreements, and cooperate with peers takes time, patience, consistency, and guidance.

Our expectation at HBM is simple: children show kindness, respect, and love toward one another.

Of course, there are days when we forget what we have learned. Children are still growing, learning, and developing. That is part of the process.

But moments like these are a beautiful reminder of what is possible when children are given the opportunity to learn how to problem solve, communicate, and interact with others in healthy and respectful ways.

Social-emotional learning is not perfection. It is practice.

The question is: Are we giving children enough opportunities to practice being kind, respectful, resilient, and thoughtful human beings?

Self-Regulation Lesson Objective:

Children will practice self-regulation by listening carefully and remembering which actions correspond to specific sounds. This activity helps strengthen listening skills, attention, impulse control, memory, and body awareness.
