4K monitoring just got more affordable!

Getting a 4K signal into your scopes has traditionally meant a significant investment in hardware. The new Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Recorder 12G offers a more accessible route capturing 12G-SDI and HDMI in SD, HD and Ultra HD and working with Nobe OmniScope.

Your image tells you more than you think.

The Source Signal in Nobe OmniScope is more than just an image viewer. It gives you the tools to inspect, analyse and understand exactly what’s happening in your image. Whether you’re checking skin tones, exposure, saturation, focus or a specific pixel, Source Signal helps you stop guessing and start measuring.

"Every film deserves its own visual identity."

For Costa Rican colourist Chisco Arce, colour grading isn't about creating a signature look - it's about helping every story find its own voice.

Working across feature films, documentaries and television, Chisco shares how collaboration with directors and cinematographers shapes his creative process, why technical accuracy is only the foundation of great grading, and how tools like Nobe OmniScope support his workflow from look development through to final delivery.

OmniScope Featured Artist Sequel: Tashi Trieu on Color Grading Avatar: Fire and Ash 07/20/2026

We caught up with DI colorist Tashi Trieu, now co-founder of MOSAIC Post Production, on how his workflow evolved from Avatar: The Way of Water to Avatar: Fire and Ash.

The scale this time: 16 discrete picture formats, including the first HDR by Barco 3D release, and over 1,500 unique DCPs delivered globally.

But it isn't all about the delivery count - it's what stayed consistent after all. Tashi graded in DaVinci Resolve 20 with a modular node tree, using Nobe OmniScope's Source Signal and Histogram qualifiers to isolate the blues of Na'vi skin tones and keep continuity across all shots and formats.
