We were on TV! 🤓

Thank you to Ozzy Azalea Mora from 8 News Now for featuring Co-Libre Education during our one year anniversary! Catch the rest of the story on Channel 8.

Did you know the Co-Libre Education logo is actually a painting I made 10+ years ago? I painted it when I was a doctoral student in Dr. Anita’s class inspired by my favorite Colombian artist’s style, GUACHE .

Everything we do is fueled by the love, orgullo, & cariño we have for our community 🫶🏽 Thank you for helping us make this possible & celebrating this milestone with us!

We’ll be spending time with our OG partners at the Dolores Huerta Resource Center on September 25 offering a College Prep Crash Course. Bring your parents, siblings, & primos.

📆September 25
⏰4-5:30PM
📍Dolores Huerta Resource Center

Free, bilingual, opens to all families

¡Desahógate mija! 🧘🏽‍♀️

Catch me North Las Vegas Campus Life 🐾 September 29 as we explore how we can use writing to “desahogar”. 😮‍💨

To desahógar translates to “undrowning ourselves”, the process of verbalizing & releasing the things that suffocate us. Through this interactive writing workshop, participants will explore the relationship between memory, embodiment, and testimonio— a historic cultural practice used for collective healing by Latinx communities.

Our communities are experiencing so much right now & we must find ways to transform that pain before it transforms us.
