Our VP of Membership, Jay Mathews, had the opportunity to attend the Community College of the Air Force Graduation Ceremony at Creech Air Force Base yesterday, where 28 service members were recognized for earning their Associate's Degrees.

The ceremony featured Chief Master Sgt. Wilfred Morgan as the guest speaker.

Our chapter was proud to support the celebration by providing snacks, beverages, and items to help with the event decorations.

Congratulations to all 28 graduates on this incredible accomplishment and milestone in your military and educational journeys!

On August 6, leaders from our AUSA Las Vegas - MG John C. Fremont Chapter visited the 505th TTSB headquarters at Taylor Reserve Center in Las Vegas to strengthen our partnership and connect soldiers with resources available through AUSA.

Earlier this month, on National Purple Heart Day, our AUSA Las Vegas – MG John C. Fremont Chapter was honored to attend the City of Las Vegas’ Purple Heart Day Ceremony and show our support for the brave men and women who have been awarded the Purple Heart.

We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside our community in recognizing their courage, service, and sacrifice. 🇺🇸💜

On Thursday, August 6, the City of Las Vegas and the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 711 will host a National Purple Heart Day Ceremony at Las Vegas City Hall. Following the ceremony, the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign will be illuminated in purple as a tribute to the courage, service, and sacrifice of Purple Heart recipients.

The community is invited to attend and help honor the brave men and women who have been awarded the Purple Heart.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for July’s Military & Business Professionals Networking Mixer at CASBAR Lounge inside SAHARA Las Vegas.

It was great to see military members, veterans, military spouses, business owners, employers, and community leaders all in one place making new connections and strengthening existing ones. Events like this are a reminder of how valuable it is to bring people together who are committed to supporting our military and veteran community, both professionally and personally.

We were also glad to have members of our chapter, including Chapter President Jodi Blasquez, VP of Young Professionals CPT Geoff Wilson, VP of Outreach Jason Semerakis, and VP of Membership Jay Mathews at the mixer. It was also a pleasure connecting with Lester Lumbad who supports the chapter on an advisory role, LTC Kevin Vazquez from the 505th, along with our community partners from Triple Threat Transformation, Merging Vets and Players, and JJB Event Solutions.

Also, special thank you to our co-hosts, Veterans Community & Founders Exchange (VCFX), Cleared Hiring Events, and Elite Social Events, for partnering with our chapter, to make the evening possible. We also appreciate SAHARA Las Vegas for hosting us and providing such a great venue.

Thank you to everyone who attended, introduced themselves to someone new, shared opportunities, and helped make the evening a success. We look forward to continuing to grow this network and seeing you at the next event.

VP of Membership Jay and Lifetime Member Emily spent Saturday representing Association of the United States Army - AUSA National at Operation Homefront’s Back-to-School Brigade® in partnership with the Nevada National Guard Child and Youth Program. Our chapter was proud to support 425 military-connected children and their families by providing snacks throughout the event.

A special shoutout to our community partner, Clickity Click & Co. for generously donating their time and photo booth services to help create lasting photographic memories for our military and veteran families.

Thursday evening at our Chapter Board Meeting, we had the honor of introducing Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Vazquez, Deputy Commander of the 505th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade here in Las Vegas.

LTC Vasquez shared his commitment to partnering with our AUSA chapter to support soldiers, veterans, and military families throughout our community.

We were also proud to welcome the 505th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade as our newest AUSA Community Partner. We look forward to building a strong partnership and serving our military community together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Family Movie Night last Saturday!

It was a wonderful evening with great food, and a movie under the stars as we brought together veterans, first responders, military families, and our local community.

A special thank you to our community partner, Trails End Warriors, along with our chapter board and everyone who helped make this event a success. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations that share our commitment to serving those who serve.

We appreciate everyone who came out and look forward to seeing you at our next event!
