🎥 🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT for our SNHA Young Entrepreneur Contest! 🚨

We are excited to officially reveal this year’s GRAND PRIZE…

🏆 ONE young entrepreneur will receive a $500 GRAND PRIZE to invest directly into his or her business! 💼💰

This incredible prize is being provided by EDKA Construction LLC, a company that believes in supporting and investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs right here in our community.

The owner of EDKA Construction LLC, entrepreneur Ed Hernandez, started working in construction at just 18 years old. By the age of 23, he set out to build his own construction company from the ground up.

What makes his story so inspiring is that he had no formal business education. His background consisted of a construction apprenticeship program and hands-on experience working for a large construction company. Everything else, he had to teach himself through real-world experience.

He spent years learning how to run, manage, and grow a business — studying taxes, customer service, marketing, leadership, communication, and entrepreneurship — all while continuing to improve his skills in construction and building.

Through his journey, Ed realized something important: entrepreneurship is a life skill, and children should begin learning these skills at a young age. His experiences showed him that our children need better preparation for the real world early on, and he is committed to being part of that change by investing in young entrepreneurs in our community.

In addition to the $500 grand prize, the winning student will receive 1 YEAR of direct access to Ed for guidance, advice, and support while growing their business. The winner will be able to text or call Ed with questions throughout the year and gain insight from a real entrepreneur actively running and growing a successful company.

SNHA will also be following and reposting the winner’s business journey, progress, and growth throughout that 1-year period to help encourage and inspire other young entrepreneurs in our community.

The winning student and business will also be featured on the SNHA website! 🌟

Ed will be attending the SNHA Resource Fair on June 30th and will personally announce the grand prize winner LIVE at the event! 🎉

This is more than just a competition — it’s an opportunity for students to gain confidence, real-world experience, and encouragement from local business leaders who believe in their future.
