In ABA, antecedent strategies are a cornerstone of effective behavior support. By proactively modifying the environment, providing clear cues, and setting up situations for success, we can prevent challenging behaviors before they occur. Strong antecedent strategies not only increase the likelihood of desired behaviors but also reduce the need for reactive interventions. Planning ahead—through structured routines, visual supports, and carefully designed prompts—empowers learners to engage more successfully and independently. In short, the way we set the stage often determines the outcome: thoughtful antecedent strategies are key to promoting positive behavior change.

We want to share an important update with our community.
We will continue to serve our current clients in these areas and those using Tricare West. However, at this time, we will no longer be accepting new clients in the Henderson area or new patients with Tricare West.
This decision was not made lightly. We are incredibly grateful for the trust and support from our community—it truly means so much to us.
We remain committed to providing quality care and look forward to continuing to serve our clients in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. 💙

We are a small, clinician-led team committed to providing high-quality, family-centered care. Our leadership understands the clinical demands of ABA because we’ve been in your shoes. We prioritize quality over quantity, maintaining manageable caseloads and meaningful support so our BCBAs can focus on ethical, effective treatment.

Natural consequences help children learn through real-life experiences. When it’s safe, allowing the natural result of a choice (like cleaning up spilled milk or finding a toy left outside) teaches responsibility and problem-solving in a meaningful way.

At the same time, positive reinforcement is just as important. Noticing and praising safe, responsible choices helps encourage those behaviors to happen again. A healthy balance of both supports learning while keeping the focus on growth, encouragement, and connection. 🌱

Let’s give a warm, cheerful welcome to Heather! She’s a big fan of Arizona and hopes to explore the beautiful city of Paris someday. Her favorite color is purple, and she has a soft spot for horses—even if she’s allergic to them! She loves grabbing sushi at Koma, especially during happy hour. Let’s all give a friendly welcome to Heather—we’re so happy to have her here!

This week was so much fun as we explored new foods! Our client got to smell, touch, and even lick the Apple Jacks cereal. In the picture, you can see one bowl with Fruit Loops and another with Apple Jacks — a new food for her! 🍎🥣

Behavior is communication. As behavior analysts, it’s our job to listen, understand, and support what a child is trying to tell us.
