Did you see this headline? Oregon governor signs bill suspending math, reading proficiency requirements for HS graduates.

I.e., ANY educational standard is evidently too high in Oregon. That says something about the quality of education public school students are getting, and taxpayers are paying for. Another great reason to homeschool your kids, and to support alternative educational opportunities for parents and their children.
