When I worked as a math tutor, I used to try to have my students be interested in and love math as much as I did. So I started drawing pictures and cartoons on our daily question board in order to show them that loving math doesn’t mean sacrificing creativity. Here are some of my favorite word problem drawings!

Growing up, I always felt more comfortable with material when I had a chance to talk to my teacher one-on-one. I have noticed that my students feel scared or nervous to speak up during class in fear of what others may think. Being able to ask questions openly is one of the greatest benefits of having a personal tutor.
Additionally, a tutor is able to cater to only ONE student's strengths and weaknesses, whereas a teacher has to cater to upwards of 30 students.
