**Health, Quarantine, and Our Commitment to Each Snake**

We’re aware of the concerns currently circulating in the community, and we want to take a moment to address them directly. These conversations are valid—and we take them seriously.

Our priority has always been to ensure that the animals we sell are healthy, thriving, and ready for a successful transition to their new homes. While we’re currently reviewing our practices to see where we can improve further, we also want to be transparent about the standards we already follow to reduce the risk of selling unwell animals.

Here are our minimum health and quarantine standards for any snake we sell, whether self-produced or acquired:

** Age & Resilience **

- No snake is sold under 2 months old

This allows them time to develop resilience and reduces the risk of failure-to-thrive often seen in young, baby hognoses

** Feeding & Growth **

- All animals are eating consistently for at least 2 months

- Each has had 10+ successful meals

- We track progress through growth in weight, length, or an increase in meal size/quantity

** Muscle Tone & Energy **

- Snakes must have healthy muscle tone and show appropriate activity levels

- Animals that are limp, lethargic, or not thriving are never offered for sale

** Individualized Feeding Observation **

- We take the time to learn each snake’s feeding preferences and personality

Some are tong-feeders, others drop-feeders; some are bold and eager, while others are shy, hissy, or dramatic

Understanding these behaviors helps us support each animal’s specific needs and set new owners up for success

** Quarantine & Preventative Deworming **

- All incoming snakes are quarantined in a separate room from our main collection

- Tools, tongs, and cleaning supplies are kept separate between rooms

- We administer preventative deworming to combat common prey-transmitted parasites such as coccidia

** Extended Isolation for Red Flags **

- If any snake shows abnormal stool, regurgitation, or weight loss at any time, they are moved into a new isolation period for a minimum of two months

They are only sold again after regaining weight, producing healthy stools, and showing confident, cognitively active behavior for multiple months

---

We care deeply about our animals and the keepers who welcome them into their homes. Every snake has a personality—and we take pride in knowing them well before they’re ever sold. We’re committed to always improving, because our snakes deserve the best, and our Snakeful Family deserves support and peace of mind.

Oh my goodness! OF COURSE Lady Merlin would start laying when we are out of town! Thankfully, we have an ANGEL of a neighbor who watches our puppos over the weekend and has even helped us with putting new hatchlings away and now checking on our girls when they are about to lay.

This photo of Lady Merlin certainly does not show off how gorgeous she is, but that was a few days before we left for the expo. She gained over 20g within the last 10ish days, so we are expecting some more eggies!

She apparently started laying this morning, since she had not begun laying last night. For those who don't know, Lady Merlin is our visual Stormcloud female (Axanthic and Sable) and she is my favorite baby girl.

Eloa, our het Lucy girl (and the mother to Snake Discover's Lucy gift!) should be next, given she rejected her first meal since being paired and she is also looking super chunky!

A HUGE shout-out to the for having us this weekend in the South Bay area! We always love doing your shows and even though I am now an ANXIOUS GRANDMOTHER, I am grateful to be a part of your community!

Also, thanks again, Carol, for helping us when we are out of town! You are a blessing on this earth!

Ahhhh! Thank Goodness! Our good girl, Viper, was a sweetie pie and blessed us with 11 gorgeous eggies BEFORE we left the house to fly out to Orlando for Repticon this weekend (Our animals tend to like laying eggs or hatching when we aren't home, because they like to make our lives difficult haha).

Viper is an incredible girl that is 100% het for Sunburst (she is het for albino and sable).

We did pair her to two different males, just to make sure one of them got the job done! Although we got a confirmed visual lock with Investigator, we did also pair her to Sweet Tea, who could have potentially also locked with her. Given the visual lock with Investigator, that's who we assume got the job done, but you never know!

Investigator is an extreme red albino 100% het for Sunburst (he is het for sable) and Sweet Tea is an Arctic Albino 100% het for Sunburst (also het for sable).

If any babies turn out to be arctic, then we know Sweet Tea is their dad!

What an exciting season so far! ❤️🥰

We do believe that Lady Merlin (our Stormcloud) is next to drop her eggs since she did just have her prelay shed, so we are just crossing our fingers she waits until we get back 😅

More eggies! This was the clutch I was actually expecting, haha! Some of you might remember Clover! She used to be for sale and we took her to a few expos but honestly, she never found the right home and we realized we loved her too much, so she stayed right here with us.

We paired her to one of our gorgeous high black and high pink super arctics, Anti-Matter, and one of our younger male Savannahs (still to be named), to see if maybe he would get the job done.

We are pretty sure that Anti-Matter got the job done, so these babies should all be some *gorgeous* green line arctics!

Yay! We got some eggies!

For all of the people that have been asking for the last YEAR, Cookie Dough is hopefully gonna be a momma in a few months! She passed all 8 eggs without any issues and, of course, had to lay them when we were not home.

We paired Cookie Dough to two different males, just to REALLY make sure one of them got the job done.

Cookie Dough is a red line (possible low expression Conda) 100% het for sunburst (sable and albino).

Golden Cobra is a visual Mai Tai (toffee belly and sable).
Toblerone is a visual Arctic Toffee Belly 100% het for Mai Tai (het for sable).

We shall know who the daddy is based on what we get out of the eggies!

We just popping some hoggies to double-check if they were male and female and every so often, one of them decides it's the end of the world and they "die" in my hands.

This dude in particular was impressive (and VERY GROSS) because he musked inside his own mouth 😭🫠

We definitely had fun with this one. Hognoses are simply too precious and adorable!

02/26/2025

Such lazy little freeloaders! We love our hognoses and appreciate that they don't need a litterbox or daily walks 😅😂

02/22/2025

Come find us in Costa Mesa and Boise this weekend! We are so excited to be starting expo season and seeing you guys again!

We absolutely LOVE giving our hoggies a varied diet, offering reptilinks to not just our personal collection, but even snakes we take to expos and have listed on MorphMarket.

Very few of our hognoses don't like reptilinks. For our younger hogs, we generally feed them mini and mini+ sized reptilinks. Micro is great for newly hatched hoggies that have a hard time with the mini size. Generally, we offer frog, quail, and iguana reptilinks for all of those that can't handle the larger sizes of reptilinks.

The Mini+ works great for many of our male hognoses, as it is basically just a longer mini link. For our thicker males and subadult females, we offer the 5g Mega-Blend with eggs mixed in, as well as some of the frog/quail/rabbit mixes. We just love the mega-blend because it is the best variety in one little link (and the eggs are a bonus too!).

For our chunky adult girls, they can generally handle the 10g reptilink size. The next size up is often way too big for most of our snakes, so we would rather give two links that are 10g each instead of trying to get them to handle a thicker link.

The fact that the links don't have "limbs" also makes them incredibly easy for them to swallow.

All in all, we love reptilinks and wanted to share a $5 off promo code
