It’s rarely one large purchase that changes everything.

More often, it’s the small habits repeated over hundreds of days.

A coffee here.
A snack there.
An unnecessary fee.
A purchase made out of convenience instead of intention.

None of those things are “wrong.”

The question is simply…

Are you aware of them?

Awareness isn’t about guilt.

Truck stops sell much more than fuel and food. Shoes, clothing, gadgets and other tempting extras are waiting for drivers who are tired, delayed or completing a 34-hour reset. One unplanned purchase may not hurt—but repeated “I might as well get it” spending can quietly drain the week’s profit. Before buying, ask: Did I come in for this, or did I just notice it? Awareness changes everything.

Diesel gave drivers a little breathing room this week.

The national average dropped 14.7 cents to $6.382 per gallon. On 100 gallons, that is about $14.70 less than last week.

It does not solve the high cost of operating a truck, but movement in the right direction still matters—especially when every load has to cover fuel, maintenance and the driver’s time.
