Therapy Business Basics, a mini course I developed years ago to help therapists learn how to get their practices up and running & start seeing private clients, has been approved by the Texas PTA for 6.42 CEUs!!!!

When I first started my practice, there was so much information out there to try to figure out on my own and all I wanted was a straightforward checklist on what I needed to see my own clients ASAP.

So I made it.

Hundreds of therapists have gone through this course since then, and now I AM SO HAPPY it is approved for con ed credit, in Texas + 28 other states with reciprocal approval.

Thanks to Patricia Miner for all her help, as well as Amanda Painter Diver and Heather Cascio Flexer for teaching us how to get CEU approval for courses.

Running a business might not be for you, and that's okay.

It's challenging. It's constant. Its success is 100% on your shoulders and you are responsible for shaping it into what will work best for you and your clients.

Taylor Kirk and I have been working with this client for a long time, and I've worked with her since she first got started. I've seen her practice grow and change over the years, and last year, we started working on her website and her content for her. We use a specific content marketing method and it was great testing grounds for a lot of the SEO stuff we have been working on for ourselves and other practices.

This year, a new opportunity came up for this practice owner and she chose to close the chapter of her business and begin a new one.

And that's okay.

I want to point this out because I want you to know that if you're thinking of starting a practice, but are hesitant just because of the unknowns, I need you to know that the only way you will learn if it is right for you is by trying.

You will grow in ways you never imagined, for the better, whether it's for the short or long term.

Just because you choose a certain school, doesn't mean you'll stay there forever.
Just because you take a job, doesn't mean you'll stay there forever.
Just because you start a career, doesn't mean you'll stay there forever.
Just because you start a business, doesn't mean you'll keep it forever.

It's okay to change paths, but being willing to take the leap is the only thing that's going to lead to the professional and personal development you're looking for.
