Life lately…
Traveling, coffee dates with hubby, shorter hair, girls’ nights, the challenge of learning French (bonjour, patience!) have all found their place in my life.
Also, I finally started decorating our home with little touches that feel like us (or maybe me 😬). I have always loved decorating and it’s been so fun to add small things like rugs, plants, baskets and even gold toilet handles !

Lately, I’ve been mixing things up—more Pilates, more functional movement, more spin classes. I am loving the change in movement and the challenge to my balance and stability.
But I will always stand by lifting weights because if you want to build or keep muscle (especially over 40), you can’t skip the heavy stuff. Pilates and cardio and group classes are great, but they won’t do all the work.
I hear a lot of talk about about “toning.”
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀.
So yes, I’m loving the variety. But lifting heavy? Still my non-negotiable because I know the irreplaceable role it plays in the long term.
Also I was soo excited for the last slide! I started doing this by holding something for support and today I saw the progress 🙌🏼
