Would you buy this business?
Here’s the deal:
Pool service company.
Revenue: $1.2M
Owner earnings: $250K
Asking price: $750K
Employees: 7
Years in business: 12
Recurring customers: 300+
At first glance?
Profitable. Established. Recurring revenue.
Interesting.
But here’s where it gets fun.
The owner:
→ Handles most estimates
→ Maintains several key customer relationships
→ Approves pricing
→ Resolves major employee issues
→ Has most of the operational knowledge in his head
There is a team.
There are customers.
There is cash flow.
But remove the owner tomorrow and you’re not entirely sure what you’re buying.
So...
Would you buy it?
A. Yes — the cash flow is worth the risk.
B. Yes — but only at a lower valuation.
C. No — too founder-dependent.
D. I need more information.
And if you picked D...
What would you want to know before making the decision?
I’ll give you my answer after you give me yours. 👀
