Today, we’re remembering Dolly Parton not only for the music and joy she shared with the world, but for the millions of young readers she inspired along the way.

Dolly believed deeply in the power of putting books into the hands of children. Her Imagination Library began as a small literacy program in her hometown and grew into a global movement, helping families build home libraries and giving children the opportunity to fall in love with reading from their earliest years.

We share her belief: when children have access to books and the adults in their lives make time to read with them, it opens a world of possibilities.

Thank you, Dolly, for reminding us that sometimes changing a child’s future can start with something as simple as a book.

📋 Have a list of family members, neighbors, or friends that you can call on to bring your child to school if something comes up.

✅ If your child stays with other family members, make sure everyone is on the same page about going to school every day.
