What I am celebrating today is the fulfillment of my Pearson Vue contract 🎉 Had a few challenges but it was worth every bit of the experience. May this be the entryway to more opportunities like this. ♥️

As a educator we work to encourage, inspire, develop, discover and facilitate learning experiences. But I’d be lying if I said some days it feels like an uphill battle between combative students to administrative changes and inconsistencies. But one thing for sure I’m ALWAYS able to redirect my energy because I absolutely love the impact that I can make. ♥️ Thank you for this beautiful reminder

I did a training yesterday about Busy vs. Effectiveness from the great Bishop TD Jakes. Don't get so caught up trying to stay "busy" that you forget to be effective.

Had this conversation with my class yesterday 🙄 As professionals we have to do better by the next generation of stylist.

Don’t even get me started on the “good hair” references either 🤦🏽‍♀️ ALL hair has the ability to be and look good if it’s properly cared for.

Let’s commit to stopping these stigmas and viewing hair independently despite the guests ethnicity.

A student came to me today and said I don’t know how long you’ve been teaching but you’re good at it.

Never underestimate your gift. Years later and I still put the same energy into preparing for my classes. So that my students can benefit from it 💗
