We are committed to ensuring people, regardless of their race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, culture, or health condition, can access quality, affordable life-saving health, and essential support services. Our services can be customized to fit the needs and budget of our customers - mission-driven organizations. Whether your organization requires strategic planning, initiative-crafting, community-mobilization, program or intervention development, staff development, training, or facilitation requests, Ribbon, in partnership with your organization, will determine the types of services your organization needs to thrive in today's environment.

Sometimes we place leaders on pedestals and then expect them to stop being human.

During Ribbon’s USCHA 2026 Institute, From Surviving to Strategizing: Building Sustainable Community Leadership in the HIV Movement, Darwin Thompson discussed the unreasonable expectations people often face because of their positions.

Leadership comes with responsibility, but a title doesn't remove the need to navigate life, relationships, growth, and personal challenges. Sustainable leadership requires accountability, but it also requires room for people to remain human.

Ribbon wants to hear from you.

If you are 50 or older, living with HIV, and residing in the United States or a U.S. territory, your experiences, needs, and priorities matter.

Ribbon’s Center 4 Healthy Aging with HIV has launched the National Survey on Aging with HIV: Communities’ Experiences, Needs and Priorities.

The survey takes about 15 minutes. Your answers are private, and your name or identifying information will not be collected. You can also pause and complete the survey later using the same device and browser.

The survey is open through Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern.

All she wanted was to go to school.

In this clip from USCHA 2026, Dr Linda H Scruggs, Co Executive Director of Ribbon, A Center of Excellence, shares the story of Brianna, a young girl living with HIV who could not attend school during the first week. Advocates and a healthcare practitioner worked to help her enter the classroom. She died three months later.

Brianna’s story is painful, but it must not be forgotten. HIV stigma is not limited to hurtful words. It can determine whether someone receives education, care, dignity, and a sense of belonging.

We must continue replacing fear and misinformation with facts, compassion, and action.

TODAY SHEROIC SPEAKS OFFICIALLY TURNS ONE!

One year ago today, SHEROIC Speaks began creating space for Black women to speak out loud...unapologetically.

Over the past year, the conversations have centered on our voices, our stories, our leadership, our health, our experiences, and the issues that matter to our communities.

Last night, Dr. Linda H Scruggs marked this milestone with the SHEROIC Speaks One Year Anniversary celebration.

Today, we celebrate the journey, the community that has grown around SHEROIC, and everything still ahead.
