Today, our Mighty Rattlers proudly represented Rattler Country at the Exceptional Olympic Games held at the Student Activity Centerβand what an incredible day it was! πͺβ€οΈ
Our students competed with heart, determination, and true STRIKE spirit, earning well-deserved medals and celebrating every victory along the way. π₯π₯π₯ More importantly, they showed what it means to lead with Safety, Tenacity, Responsibility, Integrity, Kindness, and Excellence!
A special highlight of the day was connecting with our sister school, Washington Middle School, as part of our proud Riverbank Family. Together, we celebrated unity, sportsmanship, and student success! π€

πβ€οΈπ Rattler Country Celebrates the Final Day of Read Across America Week! πβ€οΈπ
We wrapped up an incredible Read Across America Week at Juan Roberto Ramirez Middle School with creativity, teamwork, and plenty of Rattler pride! Today, our students put their engineering and collaboration skills to the test as they competed to build the tallest tower using styrofoam cupsβall in honor of Yertle the Turtle π’π. The fun didnβt stop there, as our campus was filled with energy and school spirit thanks to students and staff proudly rocking their favorite Dr. Seuss attire!
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Librarian Laura Gonzalez-Ortiz and Library Aide Victoria Rogerio for their outstanding work planning and organizing such engaging literacy experiences for our students all week long. Your dedication continues to make reading come alive in Rattler Country!

ππ A Strong Start to TELPAS Testing at Rattler Country! ππ
Today we successfully completed Day 1 of TELPAS testing at Juan Roberto Ramirez Middle School, and we couldnβt be prouder of our students and staff!
We want to give a special thank you to our Rattler parents and families who made sure students arrived at school ready to testβeven with the water shortages our community experienced this morning. Your commitment to your childβs education does not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate your support.
While our English Learners worked hard during TELPAS, our non-testing students participated in academic intervention sessions designed to strengthen key skills as we continue preparing for STAAR testing. These sessions included highly engaging review activities that allowed students to practice content in meaningful and interactive ways.
A big thank you to our incredible Rattler teachers and Math Instructional Coordinator Lorenzo Gonzalez for planning and organizing these activities and ensuring that every studentβs learning time was purposeful and productive.
And a very special thank you to Assistant Principal Adriana Casiano for her outstanding leadership in organizing both the TELPAS testing and the non-testing academic activities that kept our campus running smoothly today.
Great things are happening in Rattler Country as we continue to support our studentsβ success!

π Rattler Track & Field Opens the Season Strong! π
Our Rattler Track & Field Team kicked off the season in impressive fashion last night at their first meet of the year! From explosive sprints to strong finishes in the distance events and field competitions, our student-athletes represented Rattler Country with determination, grit, and pride.

We kicked off Day 1 of our Read Across America Week with tons of literacy fun in the library! Students participated in Dr. Seuss Bingo, putting their reading knowledge to the test, and showed off their creativity during βReading is Powerβ Superhero Day! π¦ΈββοΈπ¦ΈββοΈ
Our winners didnβt leave empty-handed β they received a special treat, a book, and a fun Dr. Seuss item to celebrate their love for reading! πβ¨

This workshop focused on the importance of intentional family meals β creating time to connect, communicate, and build healthy habits at home. Research shows that regular family meals support stronger relationships, improved student behavior, and even academic success. When families sit down together, powerful conversations happen. β€οΈ
