⚾️ That’s a wrap on Campus Professional Development!

As we closed out an incredible week of learning, one thing became abundantly clear: leadership doesn’t reside in an office—it lives throughout our campus.

Today, our own experts stepped up to lead.

👏 Attendance Clerk Brianna Cruz shared our Attendance Playbook and the systems that will help keep students engaged and in school.

📊 Academic Coordinator Veronica Perez, alongside RLA Department Head Veronica Vidal and Math Department Head Adriana Piña, led our faculty through EdSpire and the data tools that will help drive instruction this year.

❤️ Counselor Mireya Nejad reminded us that while data matters, relationships matter even more as she presented on Social-Emotional Learning and building authentic partnerships with our students and families.

We also had the privilege of welcoming back our incredible paraprofessional and auxiliary staff—an essential part of what makes Rattler Country so special.

Now the countdown is on. Over the next few days, we’ll put the finishing touches on our campus, prepare our classrooms, and get everything ready to welcome our students back home.

We can’t wait for Opening Day. ❤️🐍

📚🍎 Growing Together to Better Serve Our Students 🐍❤️

The learning didn’t stop after our first day of campus professional development.

Yesterday, our Rattler Faculty came together to focus on the instructional priorities that will drive teaching and learning this year, including T-TESS 2.0, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and Formative Assessment & Progress Monitoring. Through collaboration and meaningful conversations, our teachers began laying the foundation for a successful school year.

Today, our learning continued at United ISD’s District Professional Development, where our teachers worked alongside instructional coordinators and colleagues from across the district, engaging in content-specific learning designed to strengthen classroom instruction and improve student outcomes.

What stands out most isn’t just the training—it’s the commitment. Our teachers continue to invest their time, energy, and expertise because they believe every student deserves the very best.

As we prepare to welcome our Rattlers back, we’re grateful for a faculty that embraces continuous learning, values collaboration, and is always striving to grow.

⚾️ The Next Inning is officially underway at Juan Roberto Ramirez Middle School!

Today, our campus came alive in red and silver as we kicked off the first day of Campus Professional Development. From the moment our Rattler faculty and staff arrived, they were welcomed with cheers, music, and the excitement that comes with the start of a new championship season.

Throughout the day, our team came together to learn, collaborate, and grow. We shared our vision for the year, introduced our 5 Clubhouse Beliefs, and participated in engaging professional development and breakout sessions that will help us provide the very best for our students.

We were honored to welcome Mr. Armando Salazar, Executive Director of Middle Schools, who shared words of encouragement and challenged our team as we begin a new school year. We also welcomed representatives from United Way and The Salvation Army, who recognized Juan Roberto Ramirez Middle School for earning 2nd Place in this year’s districtwide United Way campaign—a reflection of the generous spirit of Rattler Country.

As a small thank-you to our incredible educators, our faculty enjoyed a delicious breakfast of chilaquiles, refreshing frozen smoothies, and received starter supply kits as they prepare their classrooms for Opening Day.

The energy throughout the building was undeniable. When great people unite around a shared purpose, amazing things happen. We are ready to build meaningful relationships, inspire excellence, and make this a school year our students will never forget.
